This release comes in what is commonly referred to as a super jewel case. It's made from clear plastic and looks a lot better than your avarage keepcase in my opinion.
On the downside, the jewel case is (as always) rather fragile in it's construction. In any case, the artwork is rather cool and I think it's worth at least a six on the good old junkie scoreboard.
What the hell happened here? Granted, this is a rather old release but take into considdaration that this is the second DVD released for this film in the UK and with that said it's a rather low class upgrade (if any).
The disc has only has one single extra and it's just the trailer. Granted, the old UK release was also terribly empty but that release actually came with some short interviews as well.
So why should one even pick up this version? Well, the only reason I can't think of (which is also a major selling point labeled on the cover) is that this release includes the director's cut version of the film, which among other things also includes some outtake footage during the end credits.
In all fairness nowadays there's a special edition released for this film even in the UK and that release also includes the DC version so there is no real reason to pick this release up as far as the disc specs are concerned.
The super jewel case packaging was only available for the first press. Current pressings are presented in a standard keepcase.
