This set is presented with a good looking digipack but a rather inferior slipcase design. The basic idea is really good, with a two piece slipcase cover that separates in the middle and slides off in both directions.
But in the end it's a very thin and cheap looking slipcase and this drags down the rating below seven on the scoreboard. The little planet in the middle of the cover (both on the back and on the front) is actually embossed, which I think is pretty cool.
So in conclusion, an overall nice design but not best packaging quality.
Extras are OK but there's not a lot of stuff going on. There's a feature length commentary by director Mike Hodges and a few minor featurettes. French subtitles are forced on ALL english audion tracks, on both the extras and the film.
All extras (except the filmographies) are however in english so it's still pretty enjoyable. The video introduction by Mike Hodges is not available in the menu system but it automatically plays before the audio commentary. Both this and the audio commentary is presented with forced french subtitles as well.
In the end, the only real turn on in comparison to other sets is the inclusion of the soundtrack CD, which is not present on any other release.
