Packaging / Design

This is quite a lovely little tin, even though it's not a glossy tin as EZYDVD tins so often are.

The title logo is done in silver and nicely embossed for the front cover (but this is the only detial that's embossed actually, which is kinda sad cause the artwork is such a nice design so it would be great to get som more dimensions to it).

The keepcase holds the standard single disc release of the film, which is just the same as disc 1 from the 2 disc special edition. In fact, you'll probably notice that the disc is in fact EXACTLY the same as it even has "disc 1" printed on it (!).

Not a major issue but it still rubs me the wrong way.

Disc contents / Extras

The disc is rather slim but makes no claim of being anything else. It includes the film, an audio commentary, and a feature called Supplemental Files.

This last one is kind of interesting but I havn't really grasped how extensive it really is. The way it works is that you turn it on as you would a trivia- or subtitles track and when you see an icon on the screen you can press enter to gain access to some quick behind the scenes stuff relating to that particular scene.

Sadly, the video footage from this feature is only available through watching the movie (you can't access it through the menus) so you'll have to watch the whole film if you want to be sure to see it all.

So in conclusion: not especially classy but then again it's a single disc release which was quickly followed by a 2 disc set so this shouldn't really come as a surprise.

My suggestion would be to pick up the 2 disc special edition which is available as a limited steelbook in several countries and only buy this one if you're a real case addict (like me).
