Packaging / Design
Here's another limited edition hartbox for a film that hasn't really been released in germany before. Even though Leviathan has been circulating the german market in a hartbox for quite some time, the old dvd-release is said to be a bootleg and no distributer is mentioned on niether the box nor the disc.
This one comes with a surprisingly simular cover design but adds a proper label to the artwork in form of the good folks at CMV. Each case is individually numbered with a total limitation of 500 copies. Note however that there are actually two hartbox-versions for this release (each limited to 500).
All in all a stylish retroesque hartbox that should please any fan of old style VHS-covers.
Disc contents / Extras
This disc is the first non-bootleg version release for this film (on dvd) in Germany, but sadly enough it's quite a poorly stacked set.
The film is thankfully presented in anamorphic widescreen with English DD 5.1 but as far as extras go there's nothing more than a trailer and a short image gallery slideshow.
On the other hand, things get even worse when one realises that this is actually the best disc (worldwide) released for this film so far (seeing as how there's no other region that includes the slideshow) :-O
