Packaging / Design

Despite being a very fragile box I absolutely love this for it's vintage style design. Granted the colors are probably a bit faded from time but that just adds to the feel of owning something that feels like it was released back in the good old days (and obviously also was).

Disc contents / Extras

The abridged version of the film runs for around 24 minutes and thus omits quite a few scenes from the theatrical version of the film.

The first two death scenes are cut and the movie starts of around the time when Jerry arrives at the house. The narration in the beginning of the film still remains but it only appears in audio form and plays over the first the scene where we see Jerry walking up to the house to look for Kirk and Pam.

Another notable change is the loss of the scene at the dinner table, as well as the opening scene with Grandpa. For anyone who's a fan of the film this version is certainly a very entertaining and interesting watch.

This release also features a short preview trailer for the film Scars of Dracula (1970) starring Christopher Lee.

Sidenotes

One of the first releases of the film in the UK.
