As this is quite an old release it's not to big a surprise that the packaging is just a snapcase. The artwork is pretty identical to the re-released vanilla version, but as mentioned at the bottom, this is the "widescreen special edition", which has become quite the little collector's item these days.
All in all, not a very interesting case.
As for the disc, this is where things take a turn for the better. Starting off, we have TWO full length audio commentaries and and isolated music and fx track.
And together with a making of documentary and some other promotional goodies, this should make it rank as the best edition of this film so far.
Sadly, there are no english subtitles available.
This dvd was released in september of 2000 and has since gone out of print. There appears to be a new special edition from Image Entertainment released in 2008 carrying exactly the same features but using a different cover.
There is also an old brazilian special edition in circulation with some exclusive extras but this release misses out on both the audio commentaries and is also said to have an inferior picture quality.
